Annual Crow River Cleanup Day:
September 15, 2018

The Crow River Clean-Up started in 2002 with citizens groups in Rockford (Crow River Pride), Hanover (Hanover Area River Team - HART) and Delano (Delano Dream Team).

The cleanup activities inspired Diane Sander, Watershed Coordinator for the Crow River Organization of Water (CROW), to organize a regional event that would encompass the entire Watershed. As we celebrate its 15th year, the CROW has helped coordinate over 3,405 citizens to remove over 67 tons of trash from the Crow River and its tributaries.

The Crow River Cleanup Day is a one day event. Cleanup activities start at 8 a.m. and run until Noon in each community. Following the cleanup, volunteers enjoy a sponsor provided lunch while they admire their piles of trash. Each volunteer receives a t-shirt commemorating the event as a thank you for all their hard work.
Its a great activity for Boy Scout Troops, Cub Scout Packs, Girl Scouts, 4H Clubs, Church or School groups, and businesses to participate in.

If you are interested please contact Diane Sander, CROW Watershed Coordinator at 763-682-1933 ext.3 or by email diane.sander@mn.nacdnet.net or your local contact below.
